Available…for His glory.

available for Him- His purpose, His glory

I’m leaving in the land of the in between I feel like. I’m finishing up my life of two feet in the US and starting in just TWO days my life in Central America. And I felt that this post of two beds kind of sums up my life right now. (See pics below- sorry its on my phone and I can’t put them where I need them)
About ten days before I left for Uganda I went to Birmingham. I spent a couple of nights at my friends moms house. I had never been there and wasn’t really sure what the situation- layout was there.
I was put in a room with a king size bed. And I thought that’s a little nuts. I don’t have a bed that big at home. I was assured it was fine and the room for me. My friends family was there to. And at some point that night I went in the room where she and her husband were and I saw a blow up queen size bed.
Now her hubs is a big tall man. Not a little 145 pound little dude. It was all I could do to not break out in tears.
The first reason being that that very day I received news that seemed to make going to Uganda on that trip too big and too much. I had to out loud with my friend confess how I felt. My sudden lack of trust and rest in HIS provision to make that trip happen. And the rest that followed. The simple confession of how little I am and how big HE is.
And then I saw the bed. And I could only hear Romans 12 echoing in my head- prefer one another in honor. I would have gladly slept on the couch. On the floor. I don’t care. But that’s how it went. I get the big ridiculous king size bed. Somehow that just blessed my slightly anxious heart. That and her plopping herself on the floor next to me during the evening and sayin “so how you doin? :)” and genuinely not hurried to hear whatever I had to say. And bless it I know I can be long winded and at times dramatic and weepy. Blessed for her that was not one of those times.

That is how I have felt every time I get an email text check hug verse free camera car to drive. You name it.
I am humbled. By God through His people. Each of you.
I could hardly make it through the day going to the bank the post office and eating lunch. Just tears. At Gods goodness. Friends I run into at lunch who I know love me beyond a shadow and aren’t afraid to tell me how they feel and hug on me. Then for them to come back in bless me again.
I am destroyed by Gods love. Grace. Mercy. Provision.
Thank you. Each of you.
Now lets party. No rain! 🙂
