available for Him- His purpose, His glory

Photos auto post on my mobile app. Sorry of they aren’t where they belong

Today is the first Monday in a long time that I could intentionally sleep past 4:45-5am. I say intentionally because I’m sure there has been a random Monday of being ill with something that’s “close to death”. You know the feeling. Anyway.
I no longer work at the Chick. It’s a surreal feeling to not have a job. I did do it once for a couple months. This is different. I do have a “job”. Just not like most folks. My last day at work I posted a note on the door for my coworkers. I did it this way because they post so many notes on that dumb door. I had a note a couple weeks back just for me because I mentioned the fact that there are SO MANY notes on that door. Feel the love.

I went to the beach this weekend with my friend Karen. And not a photo of us did I take. I don’t know why. Just one of those weekends. Eat. Sit on beach when it’s not raining. Eat. Shop a little. Eat. Leave. It was good. I’m now medium well or maybe medium. Whatever is “just a little pink”. I did get one photo of a cute little couple. Him in his big boots, bud light shorts and wife beater. She kept splashin him and he kept tryin to get her attention when she was sitting on her towel and he was in the water. Just cute with a side of redneck.

We went to the outlet mall and ended up in Eddie Bauer. With the two most happy chatty sale-ingest ladies ever. I found some pants and a cord thing for my iPod and Karen found some stuff. I sat in the beach display while she was trying on stuff. Comfy and reading the news on my phone. I got done and put my phone down and the couple near me jumped and said “oh you’re real!?” They thought I was the Eddie Bauer mannequin. It was a weekend highlight. Ha
I discovered one thing important this weekend. Since The Crab Trap ruined my favorite beach meal ever by not having it on the menu anymore my favorite places are shrimp basket and Sea n Suds. And for the next 6 days one of those is right down the street. The Lord provides small bright seafood moments into my life.
I leave in less than a week. This time next week I will be at the ATL airport sitting at a gate to fly to Honduras. (I wanna throw up a tad just saying that).
People ask if I am excited. Not exactly the word. Scared? That was a word asked yesterday. Wellllll that’s getting a little closer. I wasn’t really til this weekend. Now I’m a tad freaked out. Not gonna lie. So please pray for peace and trust. It’s been the overarching theme since January. It seems a touch fleeting right now. So I confess my need to have control and know and move on to the next thing- moving my final boxes out of the cabin and going to dogsit this week.
If you haven’t gotten info on “the gathering” I’m having before I go and want it- let me know.
If you asked to be added to blog notifications and haven’t seen the email to verify you wanted it please check your spam. Let me know. A few of you still haven’t verified.
And if you signed up- there is a long delay from posting to getting your email. Just FYI. It’s 7:15am when I post this Monday.
Oh. And God is good. (Duh. Of course) but he is so sweetly good to me. I have 805 dollars pledged monthly of the 959 I need a month to stay in Honduras long term. And I have 2100 of my 3000 I need for my furlough account. I had more but my plane ticket was purchased. So close. So thankful for so many making gifts and sacrifices for me. It is humbling and encouraging all at the same time. I cannot even tell you. And the prayers and the words of encouragement. I don’t even wanna talk about it. It’s so good I just may die from goodness. It’s a good problem to have.
