Always looking for a good reason to gather my folks together I made an all call to the villagers to gather Tuesday night at Laredos. I have always wanted my friends to meet and know each other and love each other like I love them so this was a great opportunity. My rents are in Honduras and Boogerhead didn't make it. And sadly there were a few villagers just too far away to come. But I was overwhelmed and blessed by my people. I made them all stand and tell everyone who they were and I was reminded of how God weaves our lives together and lets us be on this journey together for this time. I am grateful.
Becky paid up her $5 dares to Sketchybelch from her recent beach trip. If you don't know what I mean please follow Sketch on twitter and go back. It was glorious.
Micaiah (Sporty's youngest) decided after literally drinking the salsa that chips were just too much trouble for the cheese dip. Fingers work better.
Ansley (My sister Lauras daughter) decided something was stinky. So she ate her quesedilla with her hand holding her nose.
Wren (sketchy's youngest) begged for me to let them bring the hat and sing. I told her if it brought her great joy that would be ok. So they did. The kids were like a moth to a flame. And evidently I got to wear a new hat. Ironically one of my first birthdays in Opelika I ate dinner with Sarah and Jason and a friend ratted me out so they found out before we went it was my birthday. I can't remember if the hat came or not…Sarah will have to fill us in on that.
Queenie (Lynn) videoed it and put it on facebook. You can thank her for it there. You can see the chillins joy. Whatever I can do to make ya'll happy.
The self portrait with Ansley (it's tradition)
Becky and Sketchy's crew. (Wren would do great over in south korea or hong kong- they love taking photos with the peace hand signs)
Sweet Bebe Will (taken by Queenie)
Me and the Darian (yet to be nicknamed…but I am close). Sweet friend sat down with folks she didn't even know. She persevered. And ended up getting her meal paid for. Win win for her. 🙂
Me and Queenie- (real name- Lyn)
Sista Gurl (Jennifer ) and Spencer
Christi and Wayne (yet to be nicknamed…although I lean towards Waynebo) They would be the owners of the dog who eats the world…or my monkeybread.
Sporty Spice (Jamie) who showed up with a Cookie Cake. All chocolate icing. The way to my heart is food. It's a love language.
That'd be cake #2. My Village is properly taken care of. We don't go hungry.
Sweetpeep (Tammy)
Sweet Ellie- Sporty's oldest
Sarah and her boys (Jason was out of town) Jack was distressed because we took a "girls only" picture of all my Village ladies he wanted a picture too. I have to work on the color version a little. For now this is the place holder. I don't know why my eyebrows look like the joker. I am going with it. Baby Josh, Jack and Will
And the final shot of all my village ladies (I failed to get a picture with my sister and her chillins…but I figured that's been covered by my Stone mountain posts…sorry Laura!)
I told everybody to look like they love each other like I love them. Most folks took this to heart…Sketch and Becky got a little work to do…next time they'll do better. They'll be ready)
Becky, Ashley, Jennifer, Darian, Tammy, Me, will, Lyn, Christi, Sarah, Jamie, Ellie, Laura, ansley and brynn. and Baby Josh's head.
I am blessed. So blessed. For the part that each of them play in pouring into my life in this journey. I look forward to doing it again soon. Who's bday is next? new place, new date, great people. Great fellowship.
