Available…for His glory.

available for Him- His purpose, His glory

So I promised some photos.

First off there is a sweet girl in my yard who has
issues.  I don’t want to put her name out
there for her story is not mine to tell but she has recently endured some very
difficult things.  She sometimes cries a
lot.  Lately she is better.    About 2 weeks ago, or maybe it was last
week I sat outside her house to get her out and we just sat and held
hands.  If I am near she now comes over
and holds my hand.  Yesterday she stood
or walked with me for about 50 minutes holding my hand.  Today while we watched a movie she sat next
to me and held my hand.  My heart is for
this sweet girl who cannot fully comprehend things to simply know that The
Heavenly Father loves her despite everything else. Love her.

I have a special needs girl in my yard that totally cracks
me up.  She is ALWAYS saying
something.  Usually calling your name
when she sees you half a mile away.  Or “Estamos”
or “Etutu!” Or some other random thing.
She is always smiling.  If she’s
not it won’t take much to make her smile.
Love her too.

I have get to be in the yard for night duty two
nights a week.  Never fails that on those
days the sunset is usually marvelous.  At
least to me.

Auburn beat Texas A&M.
Thought I would show you that my wall is adorned according to my
heritage (Auburn), my belonging(My #Village), and where I need to be (worry
less.pray more).

Found this little silly band last week on the floor at my
house.  It brought joy to my heart.  Because I love a good fun fading color scheme
and every day is a GIFT.

There is a boy named Josue who has problems with his
feet.  Well, with several things.  He can walk but it takes him a longer
time.  And due to his special needs he
has a big boy who helps him.  The other
day I saw the big boy carry him all the way to school.  I don’t know if it was because it was quicker
or he was just being a servant.  Either
way it blessed my heart.

This was when I felt really bad last week and my throat was
full of razorblades.  My monkey, a movie,
and a mountain of lying horizontal for at least a day.

The day before Honduras won the game a week or so ago I wore
my Honduran soccer jersey.  One of my
girls took this while we hung out in the yard waiting for the sun to set and
the night lady to arrive.  (I’m just
gonna be real here.  It’s not cuz the
photo is a looker)

This fell out of my Kelty bag I use as my carry on and
sometimes to fetch food from town.  It
was from home.  I rejoiced.  Manna from a Kelty bag.  Thanks Lord.

Some of the boys found a really big lizard.  They filleted it up and John was going to
cook it for dinner.  When I went to the
farm to take pics I NEVER imagined I would see this.

One of my favorite parts of my day.  Praying in the yard with the other encargadas
before we let the girls out of the houses.
I love to hear them pray in Spanish.

And my girl Yormany after church a few weeks ago.  Love her.
I think I like my hair in this picture too.  So of course it’s a favorite.  Good hair.
Hahaha

The week after I got back to Emmanuel it rained a lot.  This is what the road looked like.  We took a taxi home.  Usually the 'creek' is about 4-5 ft down under the road.

I have been taking pictures of my big girls for their office files and also for the christmas cards we are making.  Maria Ruth was in constant motion.  Posing like a ninja, laughing, pulling her hair down and waving like a little girl.  This is one of her photos.  It just makes me laugh.

Life is good here in the Ras.  Sorry a lot of these are photos that have showed up on Twitter or Facebook already.  They are my favorites in a lot of ways.  So I share them here.

love ya'll.  Thanks for helping me be here happen.
