I'm dog/house sitting. and i have internet. and a tub. and cable.
I've learned there is really not that much to do on the internet but get sucked into stuff about Uganda, China, Ecuador and the Tsunami. (things that currently have the attention of my heart).
I've learned that Sister Wives is a crazy show. But somehow I just gotta watch it.
Mostly I am excited that I have had the opportunity to cook chicken tetrazinni (my all time favorite. I ate so much tonight I thought I would explode). and muffins are coming up soon.
But mostly I have appreciated the quiet- the ability to sit and not feel like I need to be sorting through the 14 bins staring at me that I dragged home to the cabin from storage. I have started back on Radical by David Platt and gone to bed early.
And pray for the sweet folks that are heavy on my heart. For the hurt they are in the middle of. Those in Japan that have had their worlds literally torn apart. Those who struggle to understand that indeed God does love them. Their redemption by His Grace doesn't end…because it's about HIM not about us. For those dear children who go to bed hungry. And wake up hungry. And struggle each day.
And I have been encouraged by the body of Christ this week. I cannot give specifics because it just seems to be everywhere. On the ol Facebook, bloggosphere, even on the news. Rock on Holy Spirit. Thank you brothers and sisters in Christ for being available to His work through you.
