Available…for His glory.

available for Him- His purpose, His glory

First of all, let me say this is NOT ABOUT ME. It’s about our amazing Father. Creator. Sustainer.
I had a dream Saturday night/Sunday morning that I was back in Uganda. I was standing in Buloba outside the Buloba Community Church that I have had the joy to work along side as they have grown. Some Ugandans, Some amazing folks from Alabama and Florida have invested in that community.
There is now a bore hole well there for the community to have clean drinking water. There is a school. There are almost 300 children sponsored who can now attend school paid for. This frees up the families to spend what little money that they have on perhaps other children in their family or food.

God has been working in the hearts of those people for years to have a church building. Now, there is not only the building but a growing community. A community of light where it was once very darkish feeling.

In my dream I was standing outside the church with some of the church leaders as we gazed upon children from the school running everywhere and gardens upon gardens being worked. Sustainable foods that would feed the community. Not randomness, but a plan for God’s people to help one another as they have need. I remember shaking my head in my dream and just not having words for what God is doing there.

I woke up crying basically. For my brothers and sisters in Buloba. In Uganda. Who live such a different life. For what God is doing, what He has done. What He will continue to do. Whether I ever return or not. His work will continue. What He has planted will grow. If His people seek His face, He will reveal it to them. It’s a promise.

After church Sunday I go to the mailbox- and there are letters from my kids. Resty and Rahman. How they are growing. How they are learning. And I am blessed to know that I can help them. I wish I could do more for them. I am amazed that God has allowed me to travel to meet them. If I never make it back there, My heart is forever theirs. My biggest prayer is that they grow to love HIM. Above all else, that their hearts will be HIS.

Here’s why I tell you this:
God’s people, being the church, can do amazing things together.
God will make his name known to the nations.
Be a part of what God is doing. Here. There. Wherever.
Join in.
I haven’t met anyone yet who has joined in and has left disappointed. The hard things is, you typically want more. Frustratingly sometimes, you want to do more.
For His Glory.
