Just wanted to share about a fun hour I spent at my former employer’s this morning…
The youth made these great goodie bags last month for their U.N.O. project. Famous Amos cookies, a whole bag of M&M’s, and a ton of other sugary goodness. Due to the time crunch they didn’t get to deliver them all and due to the FLU they wouldn’t have been able to take them to the nurses stations at the hospital. So I got to go and deliver them today.
Most of them know me (and my former boss Julie who accompanied me during my rounds) but boy did they give me suspicious looks when I said "Would you like a goodie bag?" As if I required something of them. When we explained what was going on they were all over it. They all had such smiles and would give you the look of a 5 year old with the most fabulous surprise from the tooth fairy ever.
I just wish the youth could have come with me- next time i will remember BEFORE I go to take pictures- not after! Just because it is fun to share the smiles. So thanks to our youth! You are great. And to the folks at EAMC- thanks for all you do to serve our community!
