Here I sit trying to sort out what in the world to say.
My heart is still full at the thought that people donated $11000 so a family could bring a child home. That to me is the body of Christ at work. I LOVE to see the body at work.
My heart is full because I am SO ready to get back to Uganda to see my friends. And hug my kids. And tell them I am sorry I am a crappy letter writer.
My heart is full when I think of what I am blessed with.
An inexpensive rusticish cabin to live in. It is prime for me in my downsizing lifestyle. Still got that mattress…ANYONE?
I am blessed with friends who listen while I struggle to sort out what life IS. And will listen to the hard things I have to say that I trust very few with. Even when they don't really "get" it. They listen. They encourage. They remind me of truth. They laugh at the ridiculousness as needed. They remind me that indeed I am human- but redeemed. And to partner with them in the journey. You all know who you are.
My crazy little sister who sent me an email about mistaken autocorrected text messages. It made me laugh so hard I was crying. And it hurt to breathe.
Eating so much fried food on Tuesday I thought I would die. Although a fried steak sandwich and onion rings at Sara Jays is the bomb. And fried pickles and boneless wings are a good dinner. Maannn I feel sluggish today.
The ability to just love on folks. My friends. Their kids. "my" kids. And laugh until it hurts.
My heart is full at the way the Lord speaks. And some days I hear Him…too bad I probably don't hear Him all the times He speaks to me. Working on listening better.
My heart is full. That over 16200 times my blog has been viewed. Crazy. That folks want to see what is going on. Hopefully to join in what God is doing. And SOON I hope to share more from the other side of the world about one of my favorite countrys. Oh man. Sometimes I want that Adam Sandler remote thing to fast forward just a tad.
My heart is full.
Period.
Happy Thursday. War Eagle. (Go #11!)
