I blogged about my recent outing to Stone Mountain and The Georgia Aquarium. But I failed to share one important (well, 3) moments.
This is Ansley. My sister Laura's youngest. She loves to eat. She loves to laugh. She can be a little grumpy. I love her in general.
When we were at The Varsity she shared with us "I LOVE Ketchup" as she stuffed her hot dog in her mouth. (She loves ketchup or pretty much anything that is sauce related. Not so much the mustard).
At the beginning of the morning Ansley wouldn't give me the time of the day. As the day went on she realized I am her bud. (it was probably because I would carry her around) On the way to the car at the end of the day I asked her if I could have a kiss. "No." I kissed her anyway. And it turned into a game- I ask. She says no. I kiss her anyway. All the way to the car. Kisses and giggling.
And one of my favorite moments of the year I think-
As we were walking around somewhere- I am pretty sure it was at Stone Mountain…Ansley said "Momma?" Laura- "Yes Ansley." Ansley- "I am happy."
that's it. I am happy.
Oh joy to my heart. Even thinking about it now I almost cry.
She wasn't happy because we loaded her up with sugar. Or promises of something fabulous coming. We were just walking around enjoying the moment. And she wanted to let us know what she thought and felt.
I am happy.
As I said bye to her when I got out of their car I told Ansley thank you for letting me come with her. (Brynn her older sister is conked out in the car). Ansley said "You're welcome. Kiss?" and yeah. I gave the kid a big ol kiss.
I am happy.
