available for Him- His purpose, His glory

Birthday weekend #2. Here’s the recap.
Saturday- slept till 11:00. Whoops. So not the plan. But staying up til 2am wasn’t the plan on Friday. I was so past tired I couldn’t sleep.

Anyhoo. Did some laundry and house (sitting) cleaning. Then the sister arrived. Trip to Target. Trip to check on Ansley at the parentals. Trip to Bizilia’s- um closed. Trip to Momma G’s. Wait in line For. Ever. Stop by Checkers for the sister who didn’t want Momma G’s. Trip to the Mall. Zilch at Dillards for the both of us. Score new earrings at Claire’s. Mall closed- exit out the scary “I hope I don’t get mugged” hallway. Despicable Me. Cute Movie. Home.

So we are laying around watching randomness on T.V. Somehow we ended up with Criss Angel. He is “Mass Hypnotizing” folks in a mall or something and making them levitate one by one- picking and choosing. Then he tells us he is going to levitate US through the T.V.! Amazing.

Christina was totally on board. Standing ready. I took a picture. That would be Criss Angel in the background on the tv. That would be Christina “levitating.” Hilarity at 1am. Good times. (Apologies for the photos being at the bottom but I am posting from the ol Blackberry.)

Sunday- Church. Talking about Baggage. Oh the irony to my life 2 weeks ago. If you don’t know what I am talking about please read my previous post discussing my BFF Delta Airlines.

My sister wanted to go to the pool. I thought the waterpark would be better. I like to chill in the river and sit in the shallow end of the “beach” So too much money later…it’s a billion degrees. And the river almost resembles a river. Grass for days and I can’t really see the bottom. But oh the joy of people watching. I am sure my presence delighted someone else. I am just a goofball.

Are you bored yet?…

We talked to the parentals and asked them to bring my niece Ansley. They did. And Christina ended up paying $20 for her. A 2 year old that is potty trained (no swim diaper needed) evidently is all grown up and isn’t free. What? Oh wait- I ended up paying $20 for her. Christina picked up my debit card by accident.

Did I mention Ansley got freaked out by the wave pool and the sweat/sunscreen in her eyes so she was ready to go after maybe 10 minutes in the pool? For those of you counting that would be $2 a minute. But a GREAT story. And the picture is of Ansley chillin after she stopped crying while we packed up.

She wanted Ice Cream so we headed downtown to the ol frozen yogurt. Joy to my heart.

And my body has now officially seen sun. First time this summer. A little behind is better than none at all right?
Party time. Daddy cooked burgers. A few back in the day stories. All chocolate icing cookie cake. Equals happiness to me. Throw in a few magic tricks by a five year old. Classic good times.

36 is going good except for that first week- being sick wasn’t in the plan. But I think we are rolling now.

And I think the calendar says August 2. I think my calendar is broken. Or it’s a liar.

Coming up tomorrow- a little bragging on God. And how I got hit in the head with a 2 by 4. And that is a good thing.

Peace.
