Available…for His glory.

available for Him- His purpose, His glory

Okay..so I have been trying to figure out what to say all week.  I know I wanted to blog about it- because if I am not transparent and honest with all of you, how can I ask you to be?  And hopefully it encourages you, points to our amazing God, and makes you think about HIM.

This past monday marked a month since I officially had a full time job.  When I quit I completely was confident that I had another specific job coming.  That didn't work but I KNEW God had a specific back up job just around the corner.  Well, that didn't happen either.  So I have been praying and heading toward what I thought God wanted me to do.  Something that makes VERY little sense.  And Monday I kind of HAD it.

Monday I was going about my day, reminding God of His promises, of the things He asked me to do (which I did), and basically talking His words back to Him.  I think back to Monday and the mood I was in and I am humored to think about what God possibly had to say.

Funny thing was that a week before I was content with where I was, what was going on, and how things might end up.  My stuff is not important I had decided.  I was ready to let go of all of it if needed.  Then I talked to a couple of people who basically told me I had made a mistake, I should have done this or that or said this or that….and then I started to think about what they said too much.  Then I realized that what they were saying was very worldly.  Jesus came to serve.   That is what I want to do.

Then the email came… turns out someone wanted to give me a crazy big gift.  I wept reading the email.  I weep right now just thinking about it. It is crazy.  It is amazing.  It is humbling that for whatever reasons this person felt compelled to give this gift, it came in God's time.  His perfect time.  I don't know who they are (if you find out, feel free to let me know:) I just know it was God.  Through His people.  In His timing.

So I still don't know how things will work out.  I am grateful for my new job (that post is for another day).  I am grateful for my now paid off car.  I am still working on selling my house (that post might be coming later).  I still don't know what in the world life will look like at the end of January (who really does know what a month from now looks like?)  But I do know that God is faithful.  He does provide.  I am amazed that I spend a day reminding God of who He is and He turns around and shows me exactly what I have been saying.  Funny how God proves His word true? hmmm

anyway…too much talking.  Hope it all made sense.
I encourage you to take a read in Isaiah 9 to see the promise of the Messiah… I shared this passage with my friends in China last Christmas.  I pray for them and for you.  To see our amazing Lord in the midst of all the craziness and see indeed He is WHY.
