So I am in Indiana for a conference at Granger Community Church called Innovate. Didn’t know I was coming to South Bend until yesterday morning on the way to the airport. As we flew into South Bend Rusty leaned over and said "Look there is the Fighting Irish’s stadium. Maybe we can see touch down Jesus." I then learned that Notre Dame is in Indiana…not PA or some northeastern state like I thought… who knew? Not me.
Then I learned that Touch Down Jesus is actually a Jesus figure and not a nickname for the Stadium at Notre Dame. And I called myself a world traveler….World yes, America…evidently need some more traveling…
So I thought I would share some pictures. From Notre Dame’s Touchdown Jesus. The security guard who told us how to get a closer shot said "Some people call it "Touchdown Jesus" But he didn’t say what the other people call him…Jesus Mosaic? Anyway. For those of you uneducated in ND stuff…you can see him from the stadium on the North end of the stadium. Enjoy.
Oh and pics from Krispy Kreme…I say "touchdown" when I walk in there and thank Jesus for such fat filled goodness. Really I do. (well I don’t SAY touchdown…)
And yes- that is the pastor with powdered sugar on his face 🙂
