Available…for His glory.

you have a basket full of Soccer stuff and wonder what to do with it? Here is a great opportunity!
On the last day of a local soccer camp, most of the boys and girls had the pleasure of meeting a visiting priest from Uganda, Africa. He was most interested in solciting ideas to motivate, inspire and encourage the youth of his diocese, (50,000 boys and girls), to improve and look toward a better future for themselves. One of the ways he is trying to do this in his diocese is by starting a soccer program.

Of course, visiting the fields on Thursday moved his heart tremendously, and he was able to briefly interact with the kids and coaches (all of 25 min). His main message was to encourage our more fortunate youth of today, to one day in the future assist those who are less fortunate than themselves.

Father Michael, had kindly asked the boys and girls if they wouldn’t mind donating their old soccer balls and/or uniforms to help him revitalize the youth and thereby the families of his diocese. He requested that if they wished, they could write their names on the balls so that a Ugandan boy or girl will know that someone gave them the ball.

This maybe an opportunity to get rid of some clutter !! Bring your gear to Cornerstone by the 24th and we will get it delivered where it needs to go!
