I wanted to give you an update on the Buloba child sponsorship program. We need to have 300 children to have "pre committed" before we can begin the program. This means that we have enough people saying they want to sponsor a child that when the program begins 300 children will be picked up. Some families may decide they want to commit to more than one. I don’t know the time period on when the program can begin because when we get enough precommitments they will send workers into Buloba to meet with families, children, and start the sign up process of the children/families. I will keep updating the blog and everyone will be contacted when children are ready to be "picked out."
Right now I have 24. This may seem like a small number but I know there are more out there, they just have not communicated to me yet! So pass on the word.
